Dwayne Johnson, also known by his ring name ‘The Rock’, is an American-Canadian actor, producer, businessman, retired professional wrestler, and former American football player. He wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation for eight years prior to pursuing an acting career.
The Wrestling Family:
You probably know Johnson made his name in the WWE as a pro wrestler in the 1990s and 2000s, but did you know he was literally born into the business? His grandfather, Peter Maivia, was a wrestling star, as was his father, Rocky Johnson. He’s also related to other notable WWE wrestlers, including The Wild Samoans, Yokozuna, Rikishi, Umaga and current WWE Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax.
This, of course, was after his time as a football player on the gridiron. He never reached the NFL but did play in the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders after a successful college football career, which included a national championship with the University of Miami in 1992. It did not take long after his debut for The Rock to gain the interest of Vince McMahon and WWE, as he debuted just a year later in 1996, embracing his Samoan and black culture by donning the name Rocky Maivia.
An Undercover Cop?!
In 2016, after being named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, Johnson told the magazine he had acne and a “curly half-Afro” as a teen. He said every day after school he would eat doughnuts and cookies, which apparently led to his breakouts. As he shared on Instagram, he was so big as a teen that his fellow high school students thought he was an undercover cop!:)
A Meaningful Tattoo:
In 2003, Johnson shocked some people by getting a large tattoo that covers much of his chest and left arm. The tattoo is a partial Pe’a, which is an intricate tattoo males have traditionally gotten in Samoan culture (he’s half-Samoan). Johnson said his tattoo took 60 hours to complete and that it tells the story of his ancestors and his own life. If you’re thinking it looks similar to the tattoo that Johnson’s character, Maui, has in the Disney film “Moana,” you’d be absolutely right!
Dwayne Johnson – Life in WWE as “The Rock”:
He has been dubbed The Great One, The People’s Champion and The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment.
In the time since he made his debut as a grinning good guy at the 1996 Survivor Series, The Brahma Bull has won eight WWE Championships, headlined WrestleMania, hosted “Saturday Night Live,” written a New York Times bestselling autobiography, top-billed the popular HBO series “Ballers” and starred in films like “Fast Five” and “The Game Plan,” which have grossed literally billions of dollars. The amazing thing is, he’s just getting started.
Son of WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, the University of Miami football standout showed promise early when he won the Intercontinental Championship within months of first setting foot in the ring. From there, The Rock’s momentum never slowed, as he laid the smackdown on “Attitude Era” rivals like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Triple H while spouting off endless catchphrases that immediately became part of national conversation. With one eyebrow cocked, The People’s Champion would warn jabronis to “Know your role and shut your mouth” or “Just bring it!” before delivering his devastating finishing maneuver, The Rock Bottom, on the way to victory.

Dwayne Johnson Car Collection:
As the star of Hobbs and Shaw, The Fast and The Furious franchise, and Ballers, Dwayne sure has steered enough vehicles away from peril. Still, his personal collection isn’t as exotic as you would think.
Although he does supposedly own a Rolls Royce Wraith (black), which we have seen him arrive at the airport with, we rarely see images of him with other vehicles. There are also some fuzzy images of Dwayne with a matte-white LaFerrari.
Other than loads of gym equipment, we’re pretty certain that you’ll find huge trucks and larger vehicles rather than swanky sports cars in his garage!
And there’s a very good reason for this of course. Just look at the size of his frame. The man is huge! He takes care of himself vigorously with diet and exercise, working out different body parts a day. And at the same time, he’s over six feet tall.
He has actually gifted vehicles to not only members of his family, but to housekeepers and stuntmen as well.
Dwayne Johnson Wife:
Lauren Hashian is a wife of “The Rock”. Lauren was born and spent her young years in Lynnfield, Massachusetts. She grew up in a family of Sib Hashian and Suzanne Johnson. Her father was an actor and famous musician. He played as a drummer for the band “Boston”. Sib passed away in 2017. Her mother was a Bunny at Playboy Club in Dallas. Currently she owns a massage studio.
She met The Rock at the restaurant “Davio’s”, located in Boston. Then he was still married to Dany. Lauren and Dwayne moved together after his divorce to the first wife. They have been together during more than 10 years, till finally they decided to marry oficially. They tied a knot on August 18, 2019 in Hawaii.
