While an all-new Classic 350 is in the works, Royal Enfield has launched its first BS6-compliant motorcycle in the form of the Classic 350. The new motorcycle not only gets a greener engine but also a few cosmetic and feature add-ons. Here are 5 important details about the new Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 version.

It gets new colours:

The BS6 version of Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes in two new colours: Stealth Black and Chrome Black. It is also available in the previous BS4 model’s colour options of Signals Airborne Blue, Signals Stormrider Sand, Silver, Mercury Silver, Pure Black, Classic Black, Classic Chestnut and Ash.

The Stealth Black and Gunmetal Grey colour options do. Both these colour variants get 9-spoke alloy wheels and tubeless tyres as standard fitment. The other colour variants continue to use the previous BS4 model’s spoked wheels and tube type tyres. Other than that, the new BS6 Classic 350 now gets a single horn instead of the previous dual horn setup and a longer exhaust heat shield.

Royal Enfield is offering the BS6 Classic 350 with a 3-year warranty and 3-year free roadside assistance as standard. For context, the BS4 Classic 350 came with a 2-year warranty and 1-year free roadside assistance as standard. Royal Enfield also offers an optional extended warranty of four years for the new motorcycle.

It gets fuel injection:

The greener 346cc BS6 motor now gets fuel-injection as standard and now delivers 19.3PS at 5250rpm and 28Nm at 4000rpm. While peak torque remains the same as before, the new motor makes 0.71PS less power than the BS4 motor. The new motor is expected to be more fuel efficient than before. Other than the motor, the rest of the underpinnings remain unchanged and that includes the dual-channel ABS setup

It gets a price hike:

Which is expected as among other updates the BS6 model gets fuel injection as well. Prices for the new BS6 Classic 350 start at Rs Rs 1,65,025 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Classic Black version going upto Rs 1,81,727 for the Chrome Black and Stealth Black variants. When compared with the previous BS4 versions, the price hike across the range is between Rs 11,122 and Rs 14,051.
